Santa Fe, New Mexico
I love this city! Every time I come here I am amazed at the beauty! The landscape is spectacular, and the architecture takes you to another world. My favorite thing about Santa Fe, though, is of course, THE ART!! On this trip, I was able to meet up with my good friend Roseta Santiago. For me, she is one of the most talented contemporary artists in the United States, and even the world. This blog post is dedicated to you Roseta!!
This picture is of beautiful Roseta in front of two of her paintings. Isn't she so talented?! She is also such a kind and generous person. What more could you ask for in a friend?Below are photos of her studio. She collects objects, and friends (a lot of them owners of galleries) lend her Native American antiques and artifacts that she uses in her paintings.
I took the picture below of her paint brushes because I love images of artists' tools and work spaces. Roseta's studio should be on a tour!
Here is where she creates her masterpieces!
Cool collage of part of her own art collection below...Can you see the mini painting of an Airstream? It was a gift from an artist friend.
Roseta Santiago organizes her paint colors in drawers in this chest. I love how she has a paint smudge for each color- VISUAL. You can tell her color palette is earthy and warm.
